In Sanskrit, the word "Yoga" means "to unite" or "to yoke." A 5000 year old practice, Yoga is designed to help the individual feel whole. Yoga texts present teachings that include the mind, body, and spiritual dimensions of the participant. The physical aspects of yoga (asanas, or poses), breathing technique(pranayama),along with meditation, provide a threshold to an ever evolving path into the unknown. It is a personalized, inward journey to discovery of one's true self. It is here, in this glorious state, that peace and contentment are possible.
